Flooding In Pakistan

3 Aug

Three million people are now thought to be affected by the terrible Pakistan floods with a death toll of around 1,400.  It is the worst flooding the region has seen in 80 years and the devastation is horrific with aid and relief one of the big concerns at the moment. The sheer amount of people who have been affected and with whole villages disappearing in the flood waters there is a real danger of more loss with illness and cholera breaking out because of the lack of food and the water has all been contaminated by the dirty flood water.

They think there is around 27,000 people still trapped without food or any aid and if they can’t reach people soon the death toll could rise significantly. A lot of the main transport bridges and roads into areas have been totally cut off by flooding so help is hard to get. If you would like to help with the relief effort you can donate to Pakistan floods here and every little helps so whatever you can give can give more of a chance to save as many people as possible.

Please help spread the word to try to help as many people as possible.
